South West Train….. it isn’t good news!

Before we begin, this blog or post is about the everyday moans we have in our head on our daily commute, the funny encounters we have, the questions we always ask ourselvesand the all round general ‘joy’ of commuting. We all plan our commute and have nailed it down and have a plan in place which we attempt to execute to perfection twice a day, although this doesn’t always go to plan!!

SOUTH WEST TRAINS!!! If you were a poor soul affected by there train strikes then lets just take a moment and reflect on just how shite the service was everyday. What annoyed me the most was the speaker systems and announcements that would go something along the lines of “There is an amended timetable in place, we are sorry for the in convivence”……. Right first issue is your not sorry one bit, not even in the slightest. If you were sorry you would stop being such pricks about the issue of who opens and closes the door, seriously only in this country would we have a strike that lasts a month over who gets to close the doors. I commend the pettiness of the argument, next time I get into an argument instead of walking off, shouting or anything along those lines I’m just going to say that I’m sorry I am on strike and sorry for an in convince that may have on the argument you are about to have with me. If the strike was about something more important (no offence to the train people out there) such as working conditions then yeh I guess they have a reason to throw there toys out the pram. If the NHS staff decided they weren’t going to show up to work for a month due to poor pay and unrealistic targets the country would completely breakdown. These people are inflicting misery onto thousands of people over a flipping door!!! I have the upmost respect for the NHS and the people that work there, if anyone should be going on strike it is them over pay, hours and a hat full of other things, yet they don’t because they know people rely on them and need them. Just like people need to get to work, yes some people can work from home but people who are on an hourly wage miss out on valuable money and in some cases will have to take days off from work causing them to have financial issues and after a chain full of events this has an affect on local economies as people don’t have as much disposable income and in a larger scale affect will have an affect on the national economy. The bigger picture is these selfish people who are inflicting misery on commuters and people just trying to earn ends meat pay the price here.

If you did manage to get onto a train then well you know exactly where to stand when the train arrives so the doors open right by your feet. It is awful, you are pressed up against the other person you don’t know and begin counting down the minuets until you can get off and breath again, all of this before you have even sat down at your desk at work in most cases. People wake up dreading having to get onto a packed train because it just is f*****g the last thing we want at 8am. The amount it costs us to commute everyday and we must live with those conditions on a daily basis and the trains don’t even run on time 90% of it. Once you arrive at your destination which is usually Vauxhall or Waterloo you have to push past people especially at Vauxhall who aren’t getting off the train but decided ‘yeh ill stand here its really inconvenientbut it’ll do’ whilst everyone is trying to get past and get on with there life, when they have headphones in and don’t even hear you that is just a real ‘you’re such a prick’ moment but you say it under your breath for the personal satisfaction that you’ve said it aloud.

That is just touching the surface with South West Trains. I know the structure here isn’t the greatest and will improve. Let me know what you also would like to hear about, I set aside an hour everyday for this so will always try my best but next time I will aim to talk about ‘Why people who put bags on there seats are bellends.’
